The God Whom Moses Knew

My Review:
This is a fictional retelling of Moses's story from the Bible - and while it was interesting on many levels...there are times when the story being told doesn't toally match up to the scripture it was based on.  It was a little on the heavy side, but all in all, I would say it was an "ok" read.

Cover Information:
Is God’s deserved wrath, like His love, real? You bet it is. Does God miraculously protect Moses and His people when they trust in Him? Yes! Get to know the passions, the heart, the struggles and the victories of Moses, before and after the golden calf fiasco. Walk with him as he is seasoned by God – humbled, encouraged, wooed and chastised. See the “mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.” (Deut. 34:12) Know more of God who leads him and His reluctant, fearful people through a dangerous wilderness on a journey fraught with intrigue and challenges from within and outside of their ranks. Vicious foreign armies attack, a wily magician threatens to disrupt God’s plan, and an alluring girl entices an Israelite soldier to make love to her in the sacred temple. Tribal leaders foment a disastrous desertion, trained temptresses lure soldiers to their bedrooms to worship the malevolent god Baal and courageous Joshua assumes command. I hope you enjoy this novel. By the time you finish, you will know well the drama of the first five books of the Bible.
